Problem
With a change in ownership, KDF wanted to move away from the perception of being an old-school manufacturer to being a modern technology-driven organization. They required a modern elegant design to do justice to their rich heritage and global presence.
Solution
There were limited design elements that we could play around with. Most of the images to be used on the website were of complex electrical components or equipment. We created a non-conventional color palette from scratch to give a modern and tech-savvy look to the website combining it with simple layouts and sharp images.
Design
Design was a significant part of this project. The clients were looking for a total overhaul: new website, fresh branding and updated imagery. We designed the website with its brand colors to be both visually arresting and versatile. This updated look was carried throughout to create a striking and consistent look.
Color Scheme
Colors played an extremely important role on the KDF website. Given the muted hues on the logo and the absence of specific brand colors, we had a broad palette to choose from. We also needed something that would make the website stand out. Blue is an evergreen color signaling trust and stability, complemented with hues of yellow for added warmth.
Typography
Europa is a modern sans serif combining geometric reduction and humanistic vitality. It is the perfect sans-serif font to create the clean and modern look required by the client.
